PAHPM Stands Against Systemic Racism

PAHPM has joined our Coalition and other Palliative partners in standing against racial injustice and inequality.  As leaders in palliative, we know that the best approach to healthcare is a holistic approach, which includes recognizing the the cultural differences in society, and embracing them.  We must be aware of the systemic biases that create barriers to quality care for all patients and families, as well as limits talented clinicians and providers.

Please Share Your Experiences!

In a few weeks, the National Coalition for Hospice & Palliative Care plans to hold a Town Hall on the Impact of COVID-19 on Palliative Care and Hospice, Now and into the Future

We have been invited to participate in the panel and want to share the PA experience.

Consider these questions:

1.     How has you and your colleagues work on the interdisciplinary team changed during COVID-19?

2.     Hot spot-surge areas compared to an area not hard hit by pandemic?

3.     What has most surprised you and why about the delivery of hospice and palliative care during this pandemic?

We want to share real PA experiences, so please visit our PAHPM Forum to blog your responses and be heard!
